There are no diverse types of light, but light, in all its forms. In short, there are three fundamental functions of light: ambient lighting (ambient luminescence), which provides the general environment lighting, accent lighting (focal glow), which draws attention and highlights, and decorative light (play of brilliance), which attracts and distracts, which is itself information. The lighting project is the combination of these functions, applied with the different technical solutions available and planned to give impact, effects and desired quality to the light. The resulting atmosphere, the organization of light becomes the unifying architectural element.
Although much still need to be experimented in the field of lighting, a new way to see light has emerged in recent years. Often, when entering a home, a shop or an office, one gets the impression that something is wrong, that the light is too strong or too weak, that it communicates a sense of oppression, that it is not disposed rationaly, that it does not really enhance the products on display or the architectural elements. An evocative, functional and comfortable lighting design is the only appropriate complement to an exclusive interior, studied in all its detail, and certainly the only way to create a comfortable and better environment.
Today, new possibilities are given to those lighting designers wanting to project light with all its potential. The evolution of LED technology makes it a breeze to create many types of light sources that are easily shaped. It becomes possible to explore new opportunities, beyond the limits of traditional incandescent, fluorescent, halogen and metal halide sources. LED light sources give the designer maximum freedom for decorating any room of the house or outdoors with light. Projecting an illumination with LEDs means you can design custom light colors to paint the walls, creating effects on the facades and manage dynamic and adjustable lighting. Only imagination is the limit.
